ChatGPT Atlas Browser Debuts as Chrome’s New Rival

Łukasz Grochal

ChatGPT Atlas is OpenAI’s latest web browser, combining standard browsing with advanced AI support. The browser features an always-available sidebar for asking questions about any site, quickly getting page summaries, and enhancing searches with conversational answers instead of only traditional links. Atlas also supports an “agent mode” that can perform actions in the browser such as filling out forms, making reservations, or editing emails.

Agent mode is available to ChatGPT Plus or Pro users. The browser includes memory functions that help personalize the experience and suggest content based on previous interactions. Built on Chromium, Atlas launches first for macOS, with Windows, iOS, and Android versions slated to follow soon.
