How Gemini 3 Pro Became 2025’s Top All-Round AI Model

Łukasz Grochal

Gemini 3 Pro is making headlines as one of the most advanced AI models available right now. Early feedback and hard benchmarks show it’s a significant upgrade from earlier models like Gemini 2.5 Pro, and it’s beating strong competitors such as GPT-5.1 in several top-tier tests.

Notably, it excels in the GPQA Diamond evaluation for PhD-level reasoning, stomping the competition with a near 92% score, while its Deep Think mode pushes this even further. Multimodal capabilities are where Gemini 3 Pro really shines. This model processes and generates text, images, sound, animations, and even 3D game objects, all within a unified architecture.

Deep Think mode adds another layer, enabling the model to perform complex multi-step reasoning tasks at a depth rarely seen before. While it’s not the absolute front-runner in every math challenge (GPT-5.1 sometimes edges it out in specific cases), Gemini 3 Pro maintains a solid lead in general reasoning, logic, and factual accuracy. Gemini 3 Pro is already live on several Google platforms, including day-one access in Google Search, reflecting Google’s big bet on this tech. Some critics have flagged minor issues like overconfidence or rare hallucinations, but testing points to improved factual reliability compared to previous releases. All in all, Gemini 3 Pro stands out for its flexibility, reliability, and depth, putting it at or near the top of the AI model leaderboard for 2025.
