Arc Raiders Playtest near 190,000 Steam Players

Łukasz Grochal

Arc Raiders recently held a server slam playtest ahead of its October 30 launch, attracting up to 189,668 concurrent players on Steam and securing a top spot among the platform’s most-played games over the weekend. The open playtest was available not only on Steam but also on Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, likely driving the real player count even higher.

Embark Studios organized the event as a stress test to ensure system stability and gather feedback for final tweaks. Players explored the Dam Battleground map and tested progression, crafting, and quest mechanics. Despite heavy traffic, technical issues were quickly resolved and the event ran smoothly.

The overwhelmingly positive response hints at a promising debut for Arc Raiders, joining a crowded lineup of autumn shooter releases.
