Co-Op Reimagined: What’s New in Borderlands 4
9 sierpnia 2025Author: Łukasz Grochal

Borderlands 4 amps up the series with fresh mechanics and a stronger co-op experience. Set on the new planet Kairos, the game unfolds across seamless, loading-screen-free zones with dynamic weather and sprawling exploration. Players can choose from four new Vault Hunters (like the Siren Vex, Exo-Soldier Rafa, Harlowe, and Amon) or revisit favorites such as Claptrap and Moxxi.

Combat and mobility receive a major overhaul: double jumps, gliding, point-grappling, dashing, zip lines, and more enhance traversal. Weapons are revamped with the new Licensed Parts system, three new manufacturers (Order, Ripper, Daedalus), clearer loot rarity, and tools like Repkits, Ordinance slots, and Enhancements.

Co-op is smoother than ever: drop-in/drop-out lobbies, fast-travel to friends, instanced loot, level scaling, split-screen support, cross-play, and individual difficulty settings offer personalized, fluid team play. Set to release on September 12, 2025 (Switch 2 on October 3), Borderlands 4 looks to be the most ambitious and player-friendly entry yet.
