CrisisX: 1,200 km² Survival Sandbox with 5,000 Players per Server

Łukasz Grochal

CrisisX, developed by Hero Games, is a bold free-to-play post-apocalyptic MMO survival crafting game launching in Q2 2026 across PC (Steam), iOS, and Android. It features a massive 1,200 km² open world, supporting up to 5,000 players on a single server scale rivaling entire cities.

The world includes 12 diverse biomes, from dusty frontier towns and secretive labs to snowy peaks and raging rivers, each teeming with unique items, wildlife, and hostile mutants. Combat is dynamic, offering anything from machetes and crossbows to sniper rifles, RPGs, and even armored vehicles like M2 Bradleys and WWII-era M4 Shermans.

Players can build homesteads with farms, defenses, and livestock, but must stay vigilant both environmental hazards and rival players pose constant threats. Communes can form to seize territory, triggering intense PvP conflicts over vital resources. A playable demo is also available at Gamescom 2025 in Cologne.
