The Secret of Weepstone is a hand-drawn, monochrome dungeon-crawling RPG that channels the look and feel of old tabletop rulebooks. Set in the ruined village of Weepstone, where Lord Byron has fallen to sickness and nightmares, the story puts ordinary townsfolk not traditional heroes against the horrors lurking in the nearby castle.

Gameplay revolves around dice-based D20 rolls, turn-based battles, traps, and exploration, with up to eight party members under your control. Death is expected and even integrated into progression: fallen characters grant “Mortal Favors,” persistent bonuses that strengthen future runs. The visual style embraces stark black-and-white sketches, emphasizing atmosphere and tension over flashy graphics. Designed for PC, the title is scheduled for 2026, with a playable demo at PAX West 2025.
