Diesel-Powered Mayhem: Zoopunk’s Third-Person Combat Unveiled

Łukasz Grochal

Zoopunk, the newly announced action-adventure game from TiGames, is set in the same animal-punk universe as their acclaimed 2021 metroidvania, F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch. This title acts as a prequel, exploring Torch City decades before the original, as the discovery of fire seed energy triggers explosive technological growth and chaos. Mechanical creations, initially intended to harness energy, turn violent, sparking a full-scale conflict between animals and machines.

Players step into the role of Rayton the Rabbit and will be able to control other animal heroes, like Braton the Rhino and Trixie the Chipmunk, each with unique abilities and fighting styles. Zoopunk ditches the side-scrolling formula of its predecessor for dynamic third-person gameplay, emphasizing fast-paced combat, cinematic narrative, and vibrant dieselpunk visuals.

While no release date has been revealed yet, the game is confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. The extended trailer highlights intense action and sets up an epic struggle for Torch City's survival as factions unite against an overwhelming mechanical threat.
