Empires: The 64 kB Realtime Short That Dominated Revision 2024

Łukasz Grochal

Empires is a 64K Windows intro by the Hungarian group Conspiracy, released at Revision 2024 where it won the PC 64K Intro competition and the party crowd-favorite award. It is a compact realtime short film with heavy use of fluid simulation and GPU particles, praised for its smooth visuals and later crowned Meteoriks 2025 winner for Best Visuals.

The intro targets modern PCs and runs well on midrange hardware like a GTX 1080 in 4K, though the most comfortable experience comes with higher VRAM cards due to demanding fluid and particle rendering.
