Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is a new single player sci fi adventure from Naughty Dog, created as a fresh IP for PlayStation 5 and in development since 2020. Players step into the role of Jordan A. Mun, a hardened bounty hunter stranded on Sempiria, a remote planet that cut off contact with the rest of the universe centuries ago and has swallowed every expedition sent to investigate.
The studio promises its most ambitious character focused story so far, with themes tied to belief, power and the myths built around a so called heretic prophet, while still keeping most plot details under wraps. On the technical side, the game targets PS5 with advanced lighting, dense effects and large scale environments, building on Naughty Dog’s in house engine improvements from The Last of Us era, including more complex simulation and GPU driven visual effects.
For now it is positioned as a PS5 exclusive, with no release window and no confirmation of other platforms.
