Thale cress (Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh.), is a small wild plant from the mustard family. Common across Europe and Asia, it thrives in fields and roadsides. Though lacking medicinal uses, it’s one of the world’s most studied plants — a key model in genetics and biology, helping scientists understand growth, DNA, and stress responses in plants.
