Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core is a co-op roguelite spin-off that reimagines DRG with four brand-new classes—Falconeer (combat drone control), Slicer (close-quarters AOE), Spotter (enemy detection & recon), and Guardian (shielding & tanking). Each is engineered for distinct co-op synergy.
Runs begin with basic gear, forcing on-the-fly upgrades via loot, Expenite-powered mods, and temporary boosts. Procedural cave generation now features dynamic hazard scaling, destructible mission objectives, and randomized secondary challenges. Between missions, players research permanent tech unlocks aboard the RV-09 Ramrod hub without breaking the roguelite reset loop.
Network optimizations enable smooth drop-in/drop-out multiplayer, while combat pacing has been tuned for higher enemy density and sharper class interdependence. Closed alpha is due Q1 2025, Early Access late 2025.
