Far del Cap de Sant Antoni
Far del Cap de Sant Antoni is a historic lighthouse perched on dramatic sea cliffs near Xàbia (Jávea) on Spain’s Costa Blanca. Built in 1855, the lighthouse sits about 175 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views over the Mediterranean Sea and the Gulf of Valencia. On clear days, it’s even possible to see the island of Ibiza on the horizon.
The lighthouse stands on the site of a former 14th-century hermitage and medieval watchtower, reflecting both spiritual and defensive histories. It’s part of the Montgó Natural Park and is surrounded by protected cliffside vegetation and a marine reserve below.
Though the lighthouse building itself is currently closed to the public, the area is a popular destination thanks to its panoramic viewpoints and access to scenic hiking trails. A paved road leads to a nearby viewpoint, which marks the beginning of a route that descends to the port of Xàbia.
