New Co-op System in No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 Release

Łukasz Grochal

No Rest for the Wicked, the action RPG from the creators of Ori, is about to shake things up with a robust multiplayer update set to arrive in version 1.0. The developers are delivering a feature that blends classic co-op dynamics with a persistent MMO experience. Players can adventure through the world, fight alongside friends in groups of four, and even trade gear directly. Notably, any changes or actions in shared sessions are saved and truly impact your world—no temporary sessions here. This design aims to foster a more social experience than standard ARPG co-op, but keeps things less restrictive than a full-on MMO.

While the 1.0 update focuses on co-op, the roadmap hints at fully integrated PvP, expanded story content, new gear, bosses, and farming mechanics on the horizon. If you’re after lasting teamwork and world-building rather than fleeting encounters, keep an eye out for this release.
